About the Role
Are you an experienced operator with a passion for safety and efficiency? The Gladstone Ports Corporation Auxiliary Services team is looking for dedicated and skilled Production Operators to join their team in permanent positions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the handling of bulk materials, and quarry processes in a dynamic environment.
Role Overview: As a Production Operator, you will report to the Earthworks Supervisor and work within a supportive, dedicated team. Your main responsibilities will include machinery operation, routine inspections, troubleshooting, shipping movements, and general labouring work to ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment. You will play a crucial role in bulk material handling for unloading, shiploading, and quarry processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with the Production Operator Job Model.
- Apply discretion and judgment to follow routines, methods, and procedures to ensure optimal productivity.
- Uphold safe work practices, promptly addressing safety issues to minimize hazards and prevent injuries.
- Complete work schedules effectively, prioritising tasks according to established plans and strategies.

You should be able to communicate clearly, maintain a positive attitude towards safety, and align with our organisation's Code of Conduct and values. If you are dedicated to professional self-improvement and committed to making a positive impact, we want to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following nationally recognised RII Statement of Attainments and licences:
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Excavator;
- Dozer;
- Front End Loader;
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) – or the ability to obtain.
- HR Class Driver’s Licence (desirable)
