As Australia's largest independent trailer builder, Vawdrey aims to consistently improvethe standard of design and quality within the country's trailer building industry. We are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Welders to work at the Production facility and the Service & Repairs workshop, both in Dandenong South. Primary responsibilities include:

-Building and/or repairing semi trailers, including but not limited to: doors, roof sheets, roof rails etc. -Ability to weld steel 1.6mm – 16mm ( MIG) and alloy 2 – 6mm ( MIG) -Ability to perform curtain welding

-Be able to conduct chassis alignment. -Be able to read and interpret job cards, record work carried out in detailed job logs within strict timelines. To be successful in this role, you will have:

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing -Experience in metal fabrication, preferably in vehicle manufacturing industry

-Experienced in using Overhead and Gantry cranes. -Technical Trade qualification As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol test.
