About the PositionOur Herons Creek team has been growing, we are currently seeking people with a can-do attitude and strong work ethics to join our team. If you enjoy contributing to the safety and well-being of the team and working across different equipment and machinery to help drive effective site operation we are interested in talking to you.
We are seeking a permanent Plant Machinery Cleaner to join our team based at our large Herons Creek Timber Mill site, where you will be involved in providing comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of plant machinery. This position predominately works alone, however, is required to understand the production processes and will work alongside all members of the production team. On the job tools and PPE will be provided for this role.
This is full-time position working afternoon Shift with hours ranging from 3pm - 11pm Monday - Thursday and 12pm to 6pm Fridays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining plant and machinery across our Timber Mill Site.
- Keeping our green mill, dry mill and other production areas clean.
- Floor cleaning.
- Cleaning outdoors & surrounds.
- Maintain all chemicals and cleaning equipment.
- Follow all OH&S procedures and policies.
Successful candidates will have:
- A strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Positive attitude and be both reliable and punctual.
- Proven knowledge and experience in using cleaning equipment and products.
- Be physically fit to manually handle various plant machinery components.
- Previous experience with manual handling work is essential.
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Be “hands-on” with the ability to think on your feet
