Your opportunity:

  • The role of the Staff Specialist is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to directly or indirectly benefit the patients/clients of the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
  • In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, the role of the Staff Specialist is to provide such services as may be reasonably directed from time to time by the Professional or Operational manager as outlined on the Organisational Chart.

Opportunity for Private Practice:

The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals. The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:

  • Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
  • Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
  • Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.

Our offer:

We are offering a competitive remuneration package value up to $528,085 p.a. (80 hours p.f.), including salary between $182,106 - $266,677 p.a. generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%), salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
