About the role
As the Land Use and Statutory Planning (PAO), you will be responsible for assisting Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) in the delivery of the Metropolitan Land Acquisition Program. You will directly coordinate with the DEECA for the delivery of the program. You will be responsible for liaising with Regional staff within PV and DEECA and any other associated agencies to ensure that the program is delivered in line with the DEECA funding agreement. This position will service the delivery of the program across Melbourne and Southern and Maritime Regions.
You will support the Regional Coordinator in providing expert advice and deliver by assessing and prioritising all land in the Metropolitan Land Acquisition Program (most affected by a Public Acquisition Overlay (PAO) and prepare acquisition strategies for parklands parcels proposed to be managed by Parks Victoria.
We're looking for someone with:
- A tertiary qualification relating to Planning, Natural Resource Management or Environmental Science and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of expert and technical advice and support, particularly demonstrating an understanding of land use and statutory planning matters.
- Working knowledge of land use and statutory planning, procedural requirements and legislation, specially relating to Crown Land and Public Acquisition Overlay processes (PAO) is desirable.
