Description:
Must have (or be able to obtain) a Baseline Clearance. This role requires an architect with deep technical expertise and strategic vision to develop a High-Level Design (HLD), transition architecture, and a detailed implementation roadmap, ensuring secure, scalable, and future-ready connectivity aligned to the departments business and IT strategies.
Location:
- ACT, NSW, QLD
- Hybrid
1 Develop an Enterprise-Wide HLD for AMSA’s future network, incorporating: • Cloud-native end-user computing (EUC)
• Hybrid gateway solutions (Azure Gateway)
• Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA)
• Microsegmentation and least-privilege access principles
2. Evaluate SD-WAN adoption for regional sites and determine feasibility
3. Design a structured transition plan, ensuring minimal disruption and security alignment.
4. Create a comprehensive implementation roadmap, including:
• Overarching Agency Network Design
• Network segmentation strategy
• Bill of Materials (BoM)
• Security, compliance, and risk mitigation measures
• Integration with the department's existing infrastructure.
5. Engage with security, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure seamless adoption of Zero Trust principles.
6. Provide strategic recommendations for network automation, performance monitoring, and long-term scalability.
7. Collaborate with the department's Architectural Governance Group, ensuring future state design activities align with the department's technology roadmap.
8. Lead a team of in-house and SDP Network Engineers for detailed designs, network installations, and acceptance testing.
