Due to growth and internal movement, we have a very exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join their team. Within this role you'll be responsible for the accurate processing of payroll, superannuation and additional employee benefits.
The role:
- Undertake administrative duties as required including but not limited to overall maintenance of employee masterfile, data entry, record keeping and filing
- Accurately maintain personnel records
- Provide advice, information and to staff in a timely manner on payroll information
- Provide accurate payroll reports
- Assist in the preparation and processing of the weekly pay run, including checking timesheets, within required time deadlines
- Prepare and process superannuation
- Prepare, process, and report on workers compensation claims, including reviewing and reconciling of reimbursement schedules
- Process employee terminations, including providing employees with certificates of service when required
- Ensure a consistent standard of quality service that both meets, and anticipates, the needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Keep up to date with any legislative changes, including EA or Award updates
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in payroll processing and system management.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in use of software including Microsoft Office, Micropay and Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees, departments, and management.
- A team player and ability to work autonomously
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable and punctual
