We are hiring on their behalf for a highly motivated Finance Manager to join their team and support continued growth and operational excellence.
The Role
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in financial management, ensuring strong financial governance and technical accounting expertise. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee financial reporting, technical accounting matters, and team leadership to maintain high standards of financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide technical accounting guidance, including writing detailed technical memos on complex accounting matters.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance policies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in supervising junior qualified staff, ideally within the utilities, infrastructure, or regulated industries.
- Strong technical financial accounting skills, with experience in preparing technical accounting papers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and strategic mindset with the ability to influence decision-making.
