About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Sales for the Trade channel, this business-critical role as State Manager for the Vic, Tas & Sa regions will have full responsibility for driving the growth strategy across Builders, Architects, Designers, Independent Hardware Groups and Contractors. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader to drive business growth, manage key customer relationships, and lead a high-performing team of x18. My client has a clear key mandate for this role and is looking for a high potential hire for future succession!
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Lead and manage regional sales teams to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue and market share growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers across all channels
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance across the region.
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and engagement of team members.
- Collaborate with national leadership to align regional strategies with overall business goals.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within and industrial B2B trade style organisation/channel
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Exceptional people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to analyse market trends and develop data-driven strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Agile and adaptable, the ability to flip between tactical and strategic initiatives with ease
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
