On offer is a great opportunity to work in a hands-on role, offering great variety and challenge visiting various company and customer sites across the region.
Our client provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration.
This is a full-time permanent role predominantly servicing multiple sites throughout the Cairns/ Innisfail and wider regions.
The main objective of the role is to maintain, repair, and retool plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, with a focus on upholding safety and maximizing production at customer sites.

Key Duties
•Setting and prioritising of work, ensuring parts are available and labour is fully utilised
•Monitor all downtime/uptime in an effort to increase the effectiveness of the packaging systems
•Maintain a focus on response times as well as effective and timely close out of issues raised
•Ensure all equipment is maintained to OEM run speeds and quality standards
•Maintain a liaison with equipment and technical suppliers
•Plan and implement the most efficient and effective delivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and machine systems services to ensure it meets customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
•Strong trade qualified skills (fitter & turner, hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatic experience advantageous)
•A current full driver's licence (please note that this role does involve a significant amount of driving)
•Good fitting, fabrication, and troubleshooting skills
•Ability to effectively perform preventative maintenance tasks
•The ability to work autonomously, but also enjoy being a part of a team
•Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and oral)
•Flexibility, initiative, problem solving skills and a proactive mindset
•A focus on customer service and an uncompromising attitude towards health & safety
•Limited or full electrical licenses (would be desirable but not required)
