Description:
We are seeking energetic Casual Dog Daycare Attendants for our Paw X Paw Doggy Daycare to support with shift coverage and peak periods
15 hours per week (average 3 hours per day)
The key accountabilities of the role include animal welfare, cleaning, customer service and booking software.
You will be responsible for the quality of pet welfare and providing care for doggy daycare guests which includes cleaning facilities, feeding pets, exercising and engaging in activities with the dogs in our care. Our Doggy Daycare Attendants also provide excellent customer service when engaging with our clients at pick up and drop off.
About You
You are reliable, motivated and experienced in caring for animals, with genuine affection for dogs. You are available to work available shifts Monday to Friday. To be a high performer in this role, you will be:
- Certified or studying animal studies and/or companion animal services and/or have experience working in vet clinics, doggy daycares, kennels or worked as a farmhand (preferred)
- Flexibility to work extra shifts if needed
- Available for rotating rostered shifts, and flexibility to occasionally cover other unplanned absences at short notice
- Prepared to jump at the chance to help others in your team
- Able to work at a brisk pace and carry out tasks to required timeframes
- Able to work independently yet under guidance as needed
- Strongly passionate about companion animals
- A good communicator and positive person who enjoys teamwork
- A licensed driver, with an unrestricted Drivers License (and clean driving record)
- Committed to working safely, and following Standard Operating Procedures
- Willing and able to adhere to operating procedures and work health and safety requirements at all times
This is a physically-demanding role which requires a significant amount of walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, restraining, bending, kneeling, squatting and being on your feet for most of your shift.
