In this role, you'll:
Join the Property and Place Making team enabling the delivery of Sydney Metro station precincts with quality urban design and place making and opportunities for community development and revitalisation.
With the Northwest and City line already in operation and work well underway on the City Southwest, Western Sydney Airport and West lines, we are proud of what we have been achieved so far and excited for the full vision of Sydney Metro to come to life.
You will lead the development and implementation of key strategic urban planning and place making activities, provide specialist advice on integrated transport and land use planning, facilitate design excellence processes and collaborate with Government authorities to achieve Sydney Metro’s objectives and business case requirements.
This role provides hybrid flexibility with 2 to 3 days per week in the office on set days.

About You
Previous experience leading a team in urban design and integrated transport land use.Tertiary education in urban design or planning or a similar relevant discipline.Planned precincts to ensure timely outcomes are delivered at a project level.Provided specialist advice and input into a range of urban planning strategies including rezoning, transport and interchange plans, precinct masterplans, precinct development plans and benefits realisation activities.Overseen the development of robust land use analysis required to support the strategic project options and corridor strategies.Facilitated Design Excellence processes including administering design review panels.Provided technical expertise and advice to ensure quality customer and urban outcomes are integrated with transport outcomes in developing desirable places.Managed key stakeholder relationships with State and local Government executives, agencies and private sector partners.Demonstrated experience in negotiation, collaboration and presentation to Government executives, steering committees and public meetings.Exceptional communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate within a large matrix environment.Extensive national and international experience in urban planning and place making associated with major transport, urban development and infrastructure projects would be highly regarded.Exposure/experience with tender evaluation processes would be preferred.
