As a member of the Nursing team, you'll enhance the student learning experience during clinical placements, ensuring they become job-ready nursing graduates. Collaborate with the Nursing leadership team to train and support clinical facilitators and assist clinical course coordinators. You will:
- contribute to the student learning experience while they are on clinical placement;
- support students to become successful and job ready nursing graduates;
- work with the Nursing leadership team to train and support clinical facilitators and provide support to clinical course coordinators; and
- develop and maintain key health partnerships to support and grow our work integrated learning footprint.
About you:
You will have sound experience in nursing within a clinical practice setting, a commitment to providing a supportive and valuable learning experience for our students, and willing to contribute to a positive and engaging academic environment, enabling excellence for both staff and students.
Your passion will be to provide education programs that build clinical and professional expertise and capability for our students and to ensure that these programs and other strategies reflect clinical evidenced based best practice.
You will possess:
- Completion of a master’s qualification in a relevant field is preferred.
- Registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Effectiveness as a teacher, which is evidenced by:
- student feedback on clinical teaching and student supervision placement in various forms: including simulated, telehealth and in the clinical environment using valid instrument/s, peer review and/or student outcomes, and
- the capacity to conceive, develop and deliver higher education curricula and contribute to relevant areas of teaching.
- Experience in the delivery of quality clinical education to students in various forms: including simulated, telehealth, and in the clinical environment.
