Disability Support Worker – Multiple locations in Sydney

Hourly Rate: $33.41 - $35.51 + 25% loading for casuals (plus shift penalties where applicable)

Locations
Our Supported Living team works 1:1 with people in their own homes, with a focus on skill-building and reaching goals which matter to them. We are looking for someone who is willing to travel to Parramatta, Lidcombe and Hornsby

Role Responsibilities:
-
Play a valued role in the daily operation of services which provide life skill development, social inclusion, and vocational opportunities for people with a disability.

Provide support in accordance with client’s individualised plans and promote good health and well-being.

Provide support and assistance with daily living tasks, including personal care
-
Follow health and personal care plans, including positive behaviour support plans.

Advocate for client choice and control in a way that is safe and best practice.

Provide opportunities for skill development and inclusion clients’ communities.
Skills and Experience:
· Prior experience working with people with disabilities or in a similar role (desirable)
· Certificate III and/or IV in Disability and prior experience (desirable)
· Willingness and ability to drive a Unisson vehicle or personal vehicle
· Passion for supporting people to live their best life
· Demonstrated ability to be creative and proactive in identifying and responding to change
· Availability to work different rostered shifts, weekends, evening shifts and split shifts (essential).
