Description:

First Choice Diagnostic (FCD) is looking for an independent, reliable self-starter for casual work. There will be approximately 10-20 shifts per month, each one of approximately 3 hours’ duration.

You will be rostered well in advance as per your availability, and will be required to be on call for a 24-hour period (5am – 5am) as per operational requirements.

The job entails performing impartial testing for drugs and alcohol at construction, transport, and other heavy industry sites within and around Toowoomba. Ideally, the right candidate will have the ability to work at multiple areas in the Toowoomba region.

Our casual shifts (of approximately 3 hours) occur around the clock and weekends, and can fit in with your other commitments. You just provide us with your availability and we go from there!

THIS IS NOT YOUR USUAL 9-5pm MON-FRI JOB!

  • Shifts are approximately 3-4 hours long
  • No experience needed, however previous D&A collecting, nursing and pathology experience is desirable
  • Driving in your own vehicle to and from sites and to the lab is required
  • Shifts scheduled based on your availability
  • Some blanket test sessions may be required and can take longer than 3-4 hours in duration
  • You will work independently, reporting to the Sydney office by mobile phone and email

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, integrity and empathy
  • Detail-oriented and reliable, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Self-starter and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate via mobile phone, email and using the internet (including hot-spotting and printing)
