Centre Manager | Melbourne's North Western SuburbsWe have exciting leadership opportunities for experienced Centre Managers to join a well-established, parent committee-run not-for-profit childcare centre in Melbourne's north-western suburbs, licensed for 75 children. This service is home to an amazing long-standing team of educators and provides quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, including government-funded kindergarten programs. With newly renovated, purpose-built spaces, it prioritises access for local housing estate families and supports educators with flexibility and professional growth.
About the Role:
As a Centre Manager, you will lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education in a warm and engaging environment. Your role will focus on ensuring the centre operates smoothly, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting the growth and development of both the children and your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and maintain a safe, nurturing environment;
- Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement;
- Manage enrolments, occupancy rates, budgets, and family relationships;
- Engage with the local community to build the centre’s reputation.
- You are authentic, passionate and an excellent communicator.
- You are organised with a great eye for detail.
- You are a strong leader, articulate, commercial and love what you do.
- Hold a completed Diploma and/or (working towards) Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA Approved)
- Prior leadership experience working in a long day care.
- Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF.
- Current First Aid Certificate and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates.
- Current Working with Children's Check.
