The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Product to lead and manage our product department and development process at GAZMAN. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of product creation, including Design, Development, Quality Assurance, Production, and Supplier Relationship Management. You will ensure the timely and successful delivery of seasonal GAZMAN ranges, with a strong focus on maintaining quality, value, and alignment with our target market.

In this role, you will work closely with vendors to meet cost targets and product brief requirements, while managing the critical path to ensure the on-time delivery of samples and final products. You will also be responsible for leading, motivating, and nurturing a high-performing product team, driving continuous growth, and improving overall product development outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the product department and lead the product team.
  • Inspire and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
  • Manage the product development process, ensuring the team provides clear briefs to suppliers that meet GAZMAN's quality standards, fit specifications, and intake margin targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the inventory and planning teams to align on the option plan, including BSR, core, and seasonal items, ensuring the Product team is well-prepared for upcoming seasons.
  • Monitor and manage category costs, balancing quality, margin targets, and commercial goals, while providing cost estimates and offering solutions to meet both commercial and aesthetic objectives.
  • Engage directly with factories throughout the product development process to ensure clear communication and alignment of expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Planners, Product Developers, QA, and Sourcing teams, while managing risks and ensuring timely delivery on the critical path.
  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key suppliers and oversee capacity planning across the supply chain.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in product development management, specifically within menswear apparel.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, item costing, and a successful track record in negotiating high-value, high-volume supplier partnerships.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage and meet deadlines on the critical path.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability practices and ethical sourcing and production standards.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, able to align production activities with brand objectives.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and management skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
