The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects, in line with the contracted security services provided by MSS Security at the Crown Melbourne site, ensure that client and contract needs are met at all times and provide leadership and management to all MSS Security employees on site.

About the role

MSS Security have partnered with one of the world’s most recognisable ICT organisations to manage all security and safety aspects across their sites. The Security Operations Control Centre (ASOC) Manager will be responsible for maintaining a visible security presence and professional service, and act as a deterrent in any potential non-compliance with organisational policies, procedures and regulations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Security Operations Management Services includes all aspects of the physical security operation

  • Responsible for the overall administration of the services and deliverables provided pursuant to the contract and ensuring contractor and employee compliance with the regulatory and contractual requirements of the client

  • Liaison between contractor and client, with law enforcement agencies, with client customers at the facilities, and with all employees

  • Plan, organise, direct, and control the operational and administrative activities of the services and deliverables required of employees on a day-to-day basis

  • Interact directly with the different internal groups on a daily basis to help ensure a fluent operational continuity throughout the site, thereby maintaining a transparent and trustful partnership with the client

  • Oversee security exercises and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Knowledgeable of, and able to enforce, all policies/procedures from the Standard Operating Procedures, the Integrated Contingency Plan, and other security related documentation

  • Propose and implement proactive measures to detect security and safety weaknesses, provide relevant solutions, improve performance and expand operations

Successful candidates are required to hold an NV1 clearance.

Skills & experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Security Management and strong understanding of Security Operations

  • NSW Security Licence

  • Australian Citizenship

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust

  • Ability to accommodate to the client requirements, including attending meetings outside of hours

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and risks for the client

  • Strong verbal, written communication skills, and interpersonal skills

  • Adaptable, resilient and proactive in a fast-paced changing environment
