About This Opportunity

The Events and Administration Officer is locally known as ‘Project and Administration Officer’ plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery and administration of events and projects by coordinating various activities throughout the project lifecycle. This includes managing communication, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and overseeing key deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and meet required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the project team, including managing project communication, coordinating financial administration, and assisting with the budget for the CRE RESPOND Education Program.

  • Develop and maintain project-related standard operating procedures, manage project documentation, and support the delivery of project-related activities, events, and meetings.

  • Coordinate stakeholder communications, including drafting content for various platforms (website, social media, YouTube), and liaise with external stakeholders, sponsors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project operations.

  • Assist with all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring timely and successful project completion.

About You

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. Previous experience in a project team or similar role is highly advantageous.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with project management programs such as Microsoft Teams, or the ability to quickly learn these tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in event management, multitasking, and working in a high-pressure, time-critical environment with an agile and flexible approach.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and provide high-level customer service.

  • Strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently or within a team while maintaining attention to detail and delivering outcomes.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia and mandatory immunisations.
