About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety & Quality Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across Jobfit’s operations. The Safety & Quality Manager will ensure compliance with healthcare standards, support patient and staff safety initiatives, and facilitate quality improvement programs to enhance clinical and operational outcomes.
The role will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and will be supported by Partnered Health’s central support function to facilitate Corporate Health & Wellbeing’s Workplace Health and Safety and Patient Safety governance systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of patient and staff safety through education, training, and engagement.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and organisational performance.
  • Maintain and monitor quality management systems to align with ISO9001 QMS standards.
  • Facilitate Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) governance, including conducting audits and reviewing safety system policies and procedures.
  • Lead patient safety programs, including risk assessments, incident reporting, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, including accreditation standards (e.g., NSQHS, CMWHS).
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to support accreditation and certification processes.
What We’re Looking For
  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, Patient Safety, or Quality Management Systems (essential).
  • 3+ years of experience in workplace health & safety, patient safety, and clinical governance.
  • Experience in accreditation, risk management, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and clinical governance frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
