Archie’s All Day, located in Fitzroy, is seeking an experienced Breakfast & Lunch Che f to join our team and help bring our Modern Australian menu to life. We have a massive following across the social media platform, and we are quite popular for the breakfast and lunch menus that provides various range of cuisine influenced by North American foods.
The Role:
As our Breakfast & Lunch Chef, you’ll be responsible for running the kitchen independently and help your head chef in crafting a menu and we have a reputation to meet when it comes to our food menu. You’ll work closely with the Café manager and head chef to design and execute a menu that focuses on fresh, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing meals. We are very popular for our Vegan and Vegetarian meals.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Leaise with the manager and head chef to design a seasonal menu that includes display food too, full fledge meals and specials
- Run the kitchen solo with high efficiency while ensuring a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
- Maintain a high standard of food quality, taste, and presentation, ensuring that every plate that leaves the kitchen is visually stunning and consistent.
- Oversee stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to maintain kitchen efficiency.
- Operate in a hygienic and well-presented manner at all times.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passionate chef with a flair for creating modern, beautiful dishes with fresh ingredients.
- Proven experience in a similar breakfast and lunch kitchen environment, ideally a qualification in the hospitality background will be a plus
- Have experience running the kitchen solo when head chef is not around
- We are looking for a long-term commitment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain quality under pressure.
- A positive attitude and the ability to follow instructions as well as lead the kitchen.
- Bring new specials to the menu and create exciting seasonal dishes that will surprise and delight our guests.
- Candiates with Certificates in Commercial Cookery will be given prirority.
