Job DescriptionAs the full-time Finance Analyst for Quantum Market Research in Melbourne, your role will report into the Finance Director for Quantum Market Research as part of their high performing finance team and cover the following areas: Financial Accounting & Month end reporting, Project & Revenue Accounting, Cashflow forecasting, and Payroll.
Your Responsibilities:
▪ Check Profit & Loss accounts for accuracy of expense postings
▪ Create general journals
▪ Assist in the review of the month end result
▪ Upload of the financials into the parent company financial management system
▪ Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
▪ Undertake working capital reporting
▪ Assist with other periodic reporting – employee compensation, cashflow, carbon, training, revenue
▪ Manage the timely entry of information into the Jobs Listing excel s/sheet
▪ Close research projects, in the Financial Reporting System, once they are completed
▪ Assist with raising incentive payments for focus groups/in-depth interviews
▪ Creation of client invoices for active projects
▪ Undertake the take up of revenue from active projects
▪ Ensure timesheets are completed, import into the financial management system and prepare closed project reports
▪ Manage the collection of outstanding payments from clients
▪ Request credit insurance from our Credit Insurer for new clients
▪ Calculate monthly cash forecasting ready for review
▪ Send updates during the month to parent company
▪ Collation of leave requests
▪ Add monthly payroll adjustments to Pay adjustments file ready for Finance Director review
▪ Process monthly payroll invoices and do reconciliations of payroll accounts
▪ Assist in calculation of leave accruals
▪ Compile documentation for SBOX audits and annual financial audits
▪ Assist with our company ISO accreditation requirements, ensuring the company complies with the ISO 20252 standard
▪ Reporting for weekly staff WIP meetings and follow up on action points
▪ Additional finance tasks during periods of leave
About You:
▪ CA/CPA qualified
▪ Degree qualified (Accounting or Finance)
▪ 5+ years' experience in a commercial accounting role (essential)
▪ Proven understanding of accounting fundamentals
▪ Strong initiative and the ability to drive improvements in processes and procedures
▪ Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines
▪ A positive ‘can-do' attitude, willingness to learn and always ready to take on more
▪ Strong communication skills both verbal and written
▪ Attention to detail is critical
▪ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a confident, respectful and professional manner
▪ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced consulting environment across two companies and proven ability to manage many competing requests.
▪ Ability to work effectively during busy times in a calm manner
▪ Advanced Excel essential

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 + super
