HSW is on the lookout for a Casual Demi Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Felons Barrel Hall . In this role you will support the Head Chef to ensure that the highest standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchens and contribute to a strong kitchen team.

What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience cooking to a Demi Chef level within a commercial kitchen. (Must be a qualified Chef/Cert III in Commercial Cookery)
- Previous experience working on cold larder and fryer section is desirable
- A keen attention to detail and a strong sense of presentation, paired with a passion for crafting innovative and high-quality dishes.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Skilled in fostering and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and guests to ensure exceptional service.
- Capability to uphold and enforce consistent standards in quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- A positive and collaborative team player
- Open to learning and ready for growth
- The ability to commence work as soon as possible
- Must have own form of transportation due to late finishes
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes
- Ensure that all food items are prepared to the required standards, following recipes and guidelines provided by senior chefs.
- Assist in the management of kitchen inventory by checking stock levels, reporting shortages, and helping with stock rotation.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen areas at event venues, ensuring all equipment is properly packed and transported.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP compliance.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen and events team to ensure smooth operations.
