The Role
We are currently seeking Diesel Fitters to join our high performing team at the Vulcan Mine complex, located in the Bowen Basin approximately 45km from Dysart. The role sits within our Maintenance Department and reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Roster:
The position is offered on a 7/7 roster, DIDO or based in Dysart, Central QLD with accommodation and meals provided if not living locally.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintenance and servicing of company owned equipment, with a focus on screening and crushing plant, heavy equipment and ancillary gear.
- Breakdown response and ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Facilitate positive interactions with on-site contractor maintenance personnel, and lead work programs with varied resources.
- Work closely with the ROM/production operations team to maintain availability and production of equipment on site.
- Assist civil and construction teams on mine site development activities.
- Reflect and encourage the safety goals of the site.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive continual improvement.
About the Candidate
We are looking for qualified Diesel Fitters who can work autonomously and actively manage their own projects and priorities. This role specifically requires the following:
- 3+ years previous Diesel Fitter
- Trade Certificate;
- Valid DL's;
- Proof of right to work in Australia;
- Commitment to Safety.
- Current STD 11 would be highly regarded.
Other Requirements
Successful candidates:
- May be required to complete background screening which may include a criminal check and validation of qualifications.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
