We continue to experience growth and are looking for a Supervisor to join our Business Advisory team in the Brisbane office. You will be a conscientious accounting professional with demonstrated experience in public practice and will enjoy providing a high-level service, expert advice, and support to a range of client groups, including individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reports for various entities and industries
- Conduct tax research and handle general tax administration tasks, including GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation
- Service a diverse client base, resolving issues and addressing individual client needs
- Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and supporting work papers for clients' accounts
- Experienced in Xero, MYOB, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Financial modelling & forecasting experience
- Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants, providing guidance, support, and training as required
- Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards
About you
- Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
- CA or CPA qualified
- Demonstrated professional experience in business and tax advisory within a public practice setting
- Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor
- Proven experience in supervising and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
