About the role
This role is crucial for ensuring our road network provides excellent service and connectivity for every road user. You will work within a team that prides itself on providing accurate and timely road engineering guidance for internal and external customers:
Role accountabilities include:
- Review, evaluate, and offer engineering guidance on road and footpath designs, including for internal and property development projects. This includes aspects such as footpaths, vehicle crossovers, street lighting, and other related elements at every stage of the project life cycle.
- Investigate and address enquiries related to public road infrastructure issues.
- Provide advice and special conditions for permits relating to the road including for road opening, occupation licences and construction of public infrastructure.
- Prepare reports and submissions to Council for new road infrastructure works, street naming, road status and other road related matters
- Contribute to the creation and execution of road-related plans, policies, and strategies for the City.

About you
The desired applicant will have a bachelor's degree in engineering (civil) or acceptable equivalent qualifications in the related field, current driver's licence, and extensive professional experience in road engineering gained through a diverse range of relevant employment.
