About the role
Are you a dedicated radiographer with a passion for quality assurance and excellence in imaging services? As the Radiographic Quality Assurance & Equipment Manager , you will play a key role in leading, coordinating, and evaluating quality assurance standards, structures, and systems across BreastScreen SA. Your expertise will ensure that consistent and measurable processes are applied, maintaining the highest standards in mammography and ultrasound services.
In addition to overseeing quality assurance protocols, you will also maintain a clinical caseload, contributing directly to patient care through mammography and ultrasound imaging. This role offers the perfect blend of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on clinical practice, making it an exciting opportunity for a professional committed to both operational excellence and client outcomes.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced radiographer with a strong background in mammography and quality assurance. You will be a compassionate and decisive professional with excellent leadership abilities and a commitment to delivering high standards of client care.
- Clinical expertise and leadership – You have significant experience in mammography, mammographic assessment, breast ultrasound and breast imaging interventional procedures, with the ability to supervise and lead in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – You demonstrate highly developed written and verbal communication skills, handling sensitive situations with tact, confidentiality, and empathy.
- Organisational and problem-solving abilities – You can effectively manage workloads, set priorities, meet deadlines, and navigate complex situations, including conflict resolution and mediation.
- Comprehensive industry knowledge – You have a strong understanding of breast anatomy, screening and assessment pathways, quality assurance processes, infection control, accreditation standards, and human resource management principles.
