About The Role
The Business Improvement function has been established to identify and address opportunities to improve existing systems, policies, and processes with the aim of reducing administration burden for both school-based and central office staff to underpin our commitment to word-class education
The Business Improvement Specialist is responsible for managing a variety of Business Improvement projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams from across the department to implement new or improved systems and processes to meet the needs of a variety of internal business units and of schools and preschools. These business improvement projects may include process redesign and implementation, internal consulting and advisory projects, such as detailed review and analysis of existing systems and processes and recommending strategies for improvement or replacement, as well as the design of new systems.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: IIBA CCBA certification or similar, qualifications in Lean/Six Sigma or similar, Project Management Qualifications.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO8 $121,107 - 125,679 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
