This is a newly established role, created to strengthen QRIC's financial leadership and ensure robust financial governance.

As Director, Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing QRIC's financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial advice to support decision-making at the executive level.

Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and procurement, ensuring QRIC meets government financial reporting standards while optimising resource allocation.

About The Role

As Director, Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing QRIC's financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial advice to support decision-making at the executive level.

Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and procurement, ensuring QRIC meets government financial reporting standards while optimising resource allocation.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring QRIC's financial sustainability and operational effectiveness. You will lead a team of four, fostering a high-performance finance function that delivers accountability, transparency, and value for money outcomes.

  • Lead QRIC's finance function, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, delivering accurate insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with government financial regulations, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
  • Develop and manage QRIC's financial risk strategy, maintaining financial integrity and sustainability.
  • Optimise procurement and resource allocation, driving efficiency and value in expenditure.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a results-driven, service-oriented culture.

You are a proven financial leader with deep expertise in financial management, risk mitigation, and strategic advisory. Your experience in public sector finance or highly regulated industries ensures you can navigate government reporting frameworks while introducing practical efficiencies.

A trusted advisor to senior executives, you bring financial acumen, commercial insight, and a problem-solving mindset, ensuring QRIC makes informed and responsible financial decisions. You thrive in fast paced, high accountability environments, balancing compliance with innovation to improve financial systems and processes.

  • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience leading finance teams and delivering financial strategy.
