About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and qualified Welders to join our team in Burton Road, South Australia.
This is a full-time permanent position with an Australian-owned SME organization, passionate about contributing to Australia's shipbuilding and infrastructure projects.

- Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Perform welding processes including MMAW and FCAW .
- Weld steel structures in sequence to minimize distortion and shrinkage.
- Maintain correct consumables, feeds, amperages, and pre-heat as per weld procedures.
- Pass all necessary weld qualifications and procedures.
- Perform gouging operations as required.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including assigning welder numbers and completing relevant paperwork.
- Conduct visual inspections, clean up between runs, and at the completion of each weld.
- Follow quality control systems and techniques.

- Recognized Welding Certificate.
- Previous welding qualification records are preferable.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar welding processes and standards.
- Ability to pass weld tests/procedures.
- Full medical clearance and police checks are required.
- Defence security clearance may be necessary; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain required clearances.
