The Company:A major supplier in the events space are looking for a new NSW State Event Manager to join their team. With offices across the country, this role will be based in Sydney and oversee all NSW-based events. The Supplier works with high-profile clients to deliver large events.
Position Terms:
- Permanent full-time role
- Working full-time in office, located in West Sydney near Blacktown
- Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 plus super depending on experience
The NSW State Event Manager will report to the National Operations Manager, and will have multiple direct reports. The NSW State Event Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering all events in NSW, as well as overseeing event operations, leading a team, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Manage successful delivery of NSW-based events, ensuring they meet client expectations, contractual obligations, and remain within budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed event plans, including risk management and resource allocation strategies.
- Manage all event logistics, including equipment, workforce needs, and on-site operations.
- Ensure smooth bump-in/bump-out procedures and overall event flow.
- Lead and manage the team, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategies for recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment that encourages continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, promptly and professionally addressing their needs, expectations, and concerns.
- Tailor event solutions to meet each university's specific needs and preferences, ensuring a personalised experience.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor event budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement and delivery of event resources and equipment, including sustainability considerations.
- Lead the integration of new event technologies or innovative solutions to enhance event delivery.
The successful candidate will have strong event management experience with the ability to lead and manage a team. Excellent client relationship management and budget management skills is essential for this role.

- Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours and to travel intrastate or interstate as needed.
- Ability to work from the office 5 days a week, located in Western Sydney near Blacktown
