The Workplace Safety and Injury Management Administrator ensures the effective implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing practices, supporting injury management, risk assessments, and compliance with relevant regulations.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Workplace Safety and Injury Management Administrator. This role plays a key part in supporting the implementation of our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System (HSWMS) and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with school leadership to manage health and safety, injury prevention, and rehabilitation coordination for staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the local implementation of the HSWMS to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
- Support injury management, including risk assessments, incident prevention, and the coordination of rehabilitation for ill or injured employees.
- Maintain connection with Health and Safety Advisors/Representatives and contribute to HS&W initiatives.
- Organize and compile data for internal and external audits, ensuring records are accurate and accessible for review.
- Monitor and report on workplace incidents using MyHR Workplace Health and Safety system and escalate findings as needed.
- Coordinate and arrange HS&W training to raise awareness and foster a positive safety culture across the workplace.
- Promote a psychologically and physically safe environment with a focus on employee wellbeing and education.
- Provide support in managing serious incidents, including potentially traumatic events.
Assist with fire safety responsibilities and maintain records related to emergency and evacuation procedures. - Draft correspondence and reports related to HS&W initiatives and ensure clear communication.
