About the Role
As a Support Worker , you will play a vital role in providing exceptional and efficient support to our clients. Reporting directly to the Manager – Auscare Assist , you will assist NDIS participants with their daily needs, supporting them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support with daily living activities, including personal care, domestic tasks, meal preparation, and attending appointments.
- Facilitate community access, social and recreational activities.
- Provide transportation or assist clients in using public transport.
- Offer physical assistance as needed, including manual handling.
- Encourage client participation in decision-making, ensuring choice and control.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision, and professional development sessions.
- Contribute to individual service planning and review when required.
- Uphold Auscare Support’s Code of Conduct and Ethics
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Experienced in person-centred support practices .
- Effective communicators with strong written and verbal skills.
- Highly organised with exceptional time management abilities.
- Knowledgeable in Workplace Health and Safety and Child Safe Standards .
- Professional with a clear understanding of boundaries in a care environment.
- Fun-loving and adventurous, bringing positivity into every interaction.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- 100 points of identification
- Relevant qualifications in support work or a related field
- A current Working with Children Check
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current First Aid Certificate
- A current CPR Certificate
- Proof of full Australian working rights
