Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our IT team responsible for producing solutions based on data analysis, developing business insights and accurate reporting to support improved decision making across the organisation. The role will primarily perform general analytics and statistical modelling on existing data across various areas of the business including, but not limited to our Sales, Finance and Operations functions.



About you

Responsible for the examination and identification of data patterns and trends to help answer business questions you will be analytically minded, ensuring data quality and maintenance. As an experienced Data Analyst with 5 plus years proven ability working with large data sets to produce clear and concise reports, we seek an individual who possesses advanced skills with data extraction, data interpretation, visualisation, scenario modelling and forecasting.


Other essential key skills, experience and qualities required for success include


  • Post graduate or master's with major in Data Science, along with a certification in Data Science 101 (IBM)
  • Knowledge of Python and its libraries such as Seaborn, Matplotlib, Pandas essential for data wrangling and statistical analysis
  • Programming knowledge essential eg: Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, R
  • Proficient in Power BI and Excel macros (including VBA)
  • Knowledge of BI tool such as TM1 or similar desirable
  • Prior expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel etc.
  • Proficient in Machine learning methods and familiar with predictive modeling to forecast trends, assess risks, and support strategic planning
  • Experience in process improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma
  • Process modelling experience using BPM desirable
  • Experience in numerical analysis methods to develop algorithms and perform computations
  • Proven internal customer engagement skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships, communicating findings to deliver positive business outcomes
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose business solutions and improve data quality
