The Role:
As the Senior Grants and Contracts Officer, you will be at the heart of managing a diverse portfolio of sustainability focused grants and contracts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on projects that include recycling depots, council programs, and innovative circular economy initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and draft government grant agreements, contracts, and variations with precision
- Oversee complex projects with competing timeframes across the public sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project partners and grant recipients
- Leverage your financial expertise to ensure efficient data analysis and reporting
- Use your attention to detail to navigate government grants processes
- Enjoy the autonomy to work independently, while also being part of a collaborative, supportive team
We're looking for someone with:
- Recent experience in contract and/or grant management, ideally in the public sector (national, state, or local government)
- Exceptional attention to detail and expertise in drafting and managing grant agreements and contracts
- Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage relationships effectively
- A team-oriented mindset, with a sense of humour and passion for sustainability
- Familiarity with databases, data entry, and bespoke ICT platforms
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
