Are you passionate about providing compassionate care? Coober Pedy Hospital is seeking a dedicated Assistant in Nursing to join our team, focusing on Aged Care – Leisure and Lifestyle. About the Role: As an Assistant in Nursing, you will support our Enrolled and Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily living activities and basic nursing duties.
- Providing person-centred care to our patients/clients.
- Performing routine technical support functions, including setting up for nursing procedures and managing local stock levels.
- Maintaining effective communication within our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
What We're Looking For:
- Current enrolment in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program (2nd or 3rd year) or
- Completion of training relevant to the safe and competent performance of nursing duties or
- A Certificate III or IV in Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, Individual Support Work, or other approved health-related qualifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative spirit to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
