Job Title: Ski Rental and Ticketing Staff
Location: Ben Lomond Alpine Resort BASE, Tasmania, Australia
Position Type: Seasonal, Winter 2025
Employment Eligibility: Kindly be informed that we do not provide sponsorship for applicants from overseas. It is the responsibility of overseas applicants to ensure they possess the legal right to work in Australia and have obtained the necessary work visa and tax file number. Applicants without an approved visa will not be considered for employment.
Age: 15+ Applicants that do not have a license may be required to be transported to and from Ben Lomond Alpine Resort Base by other staff members in a car pool. For applicants under 18 years of age, a note from a parent or guardian must be provided prior to car pooling with other staff members.
Hours: Flexible hours available with Monday to Friday positions and weekends. Typical work hours are from 7am to 5pm within our operational hours or other times as required.

Job Description:
As a Ski Rental and Ticketing Staff member, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to our guests. You will be responsible for assisting guests with ski equipment rentals, issuing lift tickets, and ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to departure.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with rental equipment selection based on their needs and skill level.
- Process rental transactions accurately and efficiently using our rental management system.
- Provide fitting assistance and adjust ski equipment as needed to ensure a proper and comfortable fit for guests.
- Answer guest inquiries regarding rental equipment, lift tickets, trail conditions, and other resort amenities.
- Issue lift tickets and provide information on ski area trails, safety guidelines, and resort policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the rental shop and ticketing area.
- Collaborate with other team members to address guest concerns and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for processing transactions accurately.
- Prior experience with ski equipment rental and/or ticketing systems is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
- Passion for winter sports and a desire to create memorable experiences for our guests.
- Willingness to assist and be cross trained in other on mountain roles such as lift operations and ticketing.
