Salary: $29.36 - $39.24 Hourly

About the Role

  • Assist theatre staff to transport patients within the Operating Suite from Reception and Day Stay Unit to the appropriate Theatre, Recovery, and Reception for discharge.

  • Assist with preparations of the Operating Room table and its attachments for varying surgical procedures.

  • Ensure adequate equipment is present for each Operating Room.

  • Work with the Nurse Managers and colleagues to provide optimal service to all customers, including patients, VMOs, and nursing staff.

  • Participate in the Surgical Services Department and hospital staff meetings and education programs.

  • Continuously update knowledge in new treatments, practices, and equipment to ensure the delivery of the highest standard of care.

  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and legislative requirements in relation to Workplace Health & Safety, Bullying & Harassment in the Workplace Policy.

  • Comply with the requirements of the WH&S Act and all relevant WHS, and injury management policies and procedures.

About You

  • Previous hospital or Operating Room experience

  • A commitment to attending conferences and lectures as identified as requirements for this position

  • Knowledge of the Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care
