About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Asset Readiness to join the Operational Readiness team working across several projects in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This role will provide specialist Asset Readiness support for the projects from pre-feasibility study through to execution, commissioning and handover to facilitate and promote successful projects. You will need to be flexible with FIFO to various operations required.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work on a 5/2/4/3 roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant & Asset Management, you will:

  • Facilitate the transfer of engineering data to master data and inventory teams.
  • Facilitate the updating of existing and creation of new functional location structures, bill of materials, maintenance tactics, task lists etc.
  • Ensuring maintenance plans are ready to be activated prior to S4 commissioning.
  • Identify, estimate and procure critical operating spares and specialised tooling.
  • Facilitate approval of critical spares into inventory based on asset criticality.
  • Assisting with budget forecasting for new assets.
  • Implementation of condition monitoring strategy for new assets.
  • Document statutory and compliance requirements for registered plant and confined spaces.
  • Adoption and application of shutdown management processes for brown field construction.


About you

  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in relevant engineering discipline with experience in planning, execution or reliability of production assets.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of asset management and engineering processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including good oral and written skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all level
  • Mature approach to problem solving and strong decision-making skil
  • Proficient in SAP, CMMS in respect to Asset Manageme
  • A Current "C Class" WA Driver’s licen
  • Proven ability in safety leadership in mining or relevant industry

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Exposure to large scale project activities in a document control, Fixed Plant and/or NPI capacity.
  • Exposure to reliability programs, such as PMO, FMEA, etc.
  • An ability to convert technical knowledge into practical instruction.
