Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and as a key member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be instrumental in advancing the agency's workforce and organisational development strategies. As a forward thinker strategically and operationally, you'll look to take a great team to the next level in providing exemplary people support services across a global public sector organisation.

This position requires a breadth of strategic and contemporary operational experience, preferably with exposure to international working environments to sustainably deliver right-sized employee management, organisational development, payroll (domestic and international) and workplace health and safety & wellbeing initiatives.

You will receive support and encouragement from the Executive Leadership Team to maintain contemporary human resource frameworks in a dynamic, flexible workplace. You will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to complex cross functional and cross jurisdictional projects to enable delivery of high-performance outcomes. Based in Brisbane, here's what your role will involve:

  • Lead the provision of authoritative, expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team on domestic and international human resource issues management (such as conduct and performance, industrial relations, Health, Safety & Well-being - HSW) to mitigate workforce and industrial risks.
  • Provide strong, motivational collective leadership to develop and maintain a high performing team, fostering a professional environment which encourages commitment to ethical behaviour, skills development, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of contemporary Human Resource policies, processes and procedures that leverage the organisation's capability to deliver business outcomes as well as meet industrial and legislative obligations.
  • Lead the development and delivery of innovative organisational capability programs encompassing but not limited to: domestic and global leadership development, talent management, diversity and inclusion, performance and development, recognition, international culture and engagement programs.
  • Lead and coordinate the revision of TIQ's Strategic Workforce Plan, implementation of a Global Employment Framework as well as other strategic projects.
  • Champion and strengthen collaborative relationships at all levels throughout the agency, encompassing the Brisbane Head Office, Queensland regional office network and International office network.
