We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Building Assessor / Supervisor to conduct on-site damage assessments and manage building repair jobs for residential and commercial insurance claims. This role is crucial in ensuring that properties are assessed accurately, estimates are provided in accordance with company policies, and that repair work is coordinated effectively to maintain our client's reputation for exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties, ensuring adherence to insurance protocols and Australian standards.
  • Provide accurate and detailed estimates for both commercial and residential repairs.
  • Source competitive quotes for repair work and maintain strong relationships with key external contractors.
  • Uphold knowledge of building regulations and industry standards while collaborating with team members to achieve optimum outcomes.
  • Ensure all jobs are delivered within specified KPIs and maintain high client and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilise internal workflow systems, Excel, Word, and Adobe to manage projects
  • Coordinate all approved repairs and works with preferred trades and contractors.
  • Oversee project management of repair and building work, ensuring compliance with budgets and timelines.
  • Supervise work to meet necessary WHS legislation and conduct regular quality and WH&S spot checks and audits.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with clients and customers throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Requirements:
  • WHS White Card or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within the insurance industry is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong business and time management skills
  • An ability to problem solve
  • A proactive attitude and motivation to achieve desirable outcomes.
