About this Role
We are looking for an Help Desk Technician ready to take the next step in their career to IT Support Engineer . This role is ideal for someone with strong Level 1 experience who is eager to gain exposure to Level 2 and 3 support, work on IT projects, and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced Business Systems team at EDMI.
You will be providing technical support to the APAC region based from our Fortitude Valley office, which is home to our Technical R&D teams, meaning IT challenges often go beyond standard Level 1 issues. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in IT operations, infrastructure support, and system administration while engaging with a collaborative global team.
We are seeking a proactive problem solver who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and thrives in a team environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting, continuous learning, and working on a variety of IT challenges, this is the perfect role for you!
In this role you will:
- Provide frontline technical support by responding to IT help desk tickets and troubleshooting common IT issues.
- Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining IT systems, including user accounts, software, and endpoint devices.
- Support the management of Office 365, Intune, and Windows-based platforms under supervision.
- Monitor basic system health and escalate complex issues to senior team members when required.
- Assist in maintaining network infrastructure and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
- Document IT processes, troubleshooting steps, and frequently asked questions for internal use.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Have at least 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
- Be able to troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Office 365, and general IT network issues.
- Have an understanding of IT security principles and networking concepts.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Be familiar with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, FreshWorks) – desirable but not essential.
- Have experience supporting end-users in a corporate environment using AD/Entra ID/Group Policy/Intune.
- Have an understanding of networking principles and be able to assist with network administration.
- Be eager to learn and grow in an IT systems or administration role.
