Perks People Solutions have partnered with the Scaffidi Group – a well-established and privately-owned group of pharmaceutical and retail businesses located across Australia who are continuing to experience growth and success. With their Support Office in Adelaide, the Scaffidi Group is dedicated to the provision of expert advice and business management services that enable their pharmacies to deliver exceptional customer care and high quality services. An opportunity now exists for a Management Accountant to join their head office in a full time, permanent capacity.
The Role

Reporting through to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager, your duties will include:
  • Preparation of month end reporting packages for the board and partners
  • Budget preparation and analysis for all entities
  • Preparing and lodging monthly BAS and PAYG returns with the assistance of the junior staff
  • Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders including, banks, Medicare, ATO, owners, store managers etc. on various matters
  • Being involved with continuous improvement of finance function
  • Overseeing accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliations and ensuring correct allocations have been entered
  • Indirect tax responsibility on oversight and lodgement (Payroll Tax, Workcover)
  • Oversight of rent and rental incentives
  • Support financial activities for internal and retail entities outside of the pharmacies
  • Oversight and direction on entity details, registers, and changes
  • Insurance renewals and claims, including internal insurance system
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the Chief Financial Officer, Finance Manager and the external accountants

About You
  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or a related area
  • Working towards CA or CPA qualification
  • Proactive mindset and the ability to build strong rapport with key stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Collaborative and team orientated mindset and approach
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
  • Multi-entity exposure and an understanding of Xero will be highly regarded
