About you and this position
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a highly experienced Work Health & Safety Officer. You will bring your people skills as well as technical skills to enable you to engage, partner and collaborate effectively across the organisation.
You will enjoy working closely with our People Managers to deliver the best possible safety outcomes for the organisation and its people.
Whilst you enjoy working ‘hands on’ you will also see the bigger picture and strive to identify opportunities to continue to embed the culture of safety into our organisation.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Leading the planning, monitoring and reporting against objectives, targets and key performance indicators for WHS
- Providing strategic, technical and advisory support to Management, Health and Safety Representatives (HSR), WHS Committee Members and employees
- Effectively managing Return to Work practices and proactively minimising the incidences, cost and harm caused through workplace injury
- Conducting WHS audits and compiling associated reports
To be successful in this position you will have:
- A qualification in WHS
- Proven extensive experience in WHS
- A current/valid Australian drivers license
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- WHS Audit or Lead Auditor qualifications (desirable)
- Understanding of Skytrust (desirable)
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of Risk Management
This position is a permanent part time 0.8FTE position and is classified as a Grade 6 under the Campbelltown Municipal Officers Staff Enterprise Agreement No.10, 2021 and relevant Award.
