The Role
The Project Scheduler position reports to the EL 1 Project Controls Manager and provides direct schedule management services to AIR7001 (MQ-4C Triton) acquisition program. The position provides complex project planning, scheduling and integration work with a multi-discipline team of Commonwealth and contractor personnel. The Project Scheduler also performs internal Commonwealth schedule activities such as month end processing, baseline management and reporting via PPRIP/MRM as part of a Governance and Assurance function.
Note: This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

About Your Team Surveillance and Response Systems Program Office (SRSPO) ensures the availability and performance of highly complex surveillance and response airborne and related systems for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) - including the P-8A Poseidon. SRSPO also acquires and supports common Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE) used on air vehicles operated by the RAAF, Navy and Army. We also support the MQ-4C Triton, a new remotely piloted high altitude long endurance aircraft system. At SRSPO we are passionate about working collaboratively with our stakeholders and industry partners to ensure the necessary acquisition, sustainment and regulatory requirements are fulfilled. We do this to support the warfighter and achieve the Department of Defence's strategic and operational objectives.
Our Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Liaise with stakeholders including Team Leads, Contractors (NGA) and external stakeholders (JPO - Joint Program Office) to create and maintain the schedule baseline for AIR7001 IMS (or Storyboard).
- On regular basis, liaise with stakeholders to maintain the AIR7001 Schedule. Progress activities in accordance with the JPO, NGA schedules as well as Team Leads input. Perform necessary reporting as part of monthly rhythm.
- Ensure the governance and assurance of project finances through month end processing of finance in OPP, reconcile anomalies and data is ready for Project Manager sign off.
- Re-baseline schedule finances in OPP to reflect AEs/BEs and other approved changes.
- Working with the PM, manage PBS (total product), WBS (total work) and Schedule baselines (approved timeline).
- Ensure schedule integrity and schedule health through PM function schedule policy compliance.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders. Provide constructive feedback and recommend solutions.
- Attend Project Team Leads, JPO and other schedule related meetings and forums as a scheduling SME.
- Take the initiative to resolve problems, stay positive in adverse situations and demonstrate teamwork and flexibility to accommodate varying work demands and tasks.
