Primary objective
The Program Grants Manager is responsible for the effective development, implementation and ongoing management of
grants for Offender Rehabilitation and Engagement.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide effective management and development of grant systems and support services for Offender Rehabilitation and
Engagement grant programs.
2. Manage and report on the Offender Rehabilitation and Engagement grants budget expenditure and acquittal status,
including developing agreements, monitoring and scheduling of payments.
3. Contribute to the drafting of reports, briefings and correspondence including but not limited to departmental, Ministerial
and Cabinet.
4. Reporting including input as directed in the preparation of financial reports and written reports for accountability
requirements for the Northern Territory Government.
5. Undertake a range of administrative tasks that support the efficient and compliant management of grants administered,
including maintaining systems records.
6. Provide advice and information to grant applicants and other external stakeholders on the funding processes, guidelines,
and relevant policies and procedures.
7. Resolve grant recipient issues relating to lodgement issues, contractual arrangements and grant cycles.
8. Develop and maintain professional, collaborative and effective relationships with a variety of grant funded organisations
and stakeholders.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Extensive experience, advanced skills and knowledge relating to project management, procurement and grants
management, including experience with GrantsNT or similar grant management systems.
2. Demonstrated ability in effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders at all levels, both orally and in writing,
including the ability to communicate across cultures and professional backgrounds.
3. Experience or ability to quickly acquire relevant business and systems knowledge, ensuring systems and files are updated
and maintained accurately.
4. Ability to work independently; and demonstrated time management skills to ensure planning and prioritising of workload
to meet deadlines.
5. Experience in managing projects and navigating governance, regulation and policy in order to achieve strategic and
operational project outcomes.
6. Sound judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
7. Willingness to undertake some travel, including to remote communities (light aircraft).
Desirable
1. Hold a current NT Drivers Licence or the ability to acquire an NT Drivers Licence
2. Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline or equivalent working experience
