A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a fast growing team in Perth. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of projects across commercial, residential, infrastructure, and civil sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, contract administration, and project financial oversight, ensuring cost efficiency and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead cost planning, estimation, and feasibility studies across various project stages.
- Prepare and manage detailed bills of quantities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee procurement processes, including tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Assess and manage variations, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Provide financial reporting, risk analysis, and value engineering recommendations.
- Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors to support their professional development.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure effective cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a PQS or contractor environment.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software such as CostX, Cubit, or equivalent.
- Experience in digital take-offs and BIM-based quantity extraction (desirable).
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail with exceptional cost assessment accuracy.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
