InvoCare is an industry leader within the funeral industry, we currently operate over 300 funeral locations, 17 cemeteries and 29 crematoria, throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and growing.
About the role:
As the Leading Hand you will lead the site operations team and oversee park maintenance and development for the community. We are looking for someone with broad skills in the building industry or trades who can roll up their sleeves to get the job done. We are also looking for someone who can lead and get the best out of their team. Your days will be varied, and will include :
- Evaluating building and grounds maintenance and development needs
- Scheduling and coordinating cremation operations (don't worry we will train you)
- Completing park paperwork and admin tasks
- Monitoring daily activities and workplace and operational requirements
- Performing a variety of manual labour tasks, indoors and outdoors in all weather condition
- Interacting with families.
About you:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in gardening and landscaping looked upon favourably
- A proactive approach to problem solving and a "can do" attitude
- Ability to use tools, machinery and equipment for construction
- A positive and compassionate approach
- Must be mobile and physically fit
