illy, Italy’s favourite coffee brand is relaunching across the Australian market.
illycaffe Australia are seeking two vibrant, experienced Barista's to help re-launch the illy brand across the Sydney market to demonstrate the beauty and artistry of illy’s authentic Italian coffee experience.
For three generations the Illy family has been the symbol of quality coffee around the world with a simple intent – to offer the best coffee in the world.
illy is Italy's favourite brand, present in over 140 countries around the world, in over 100,000 cafes. The brand is recognised and appreciated as a synonym of excellence and beauty, through an extreme attention to quality that guarantees consistency in every cup.
illycaffe Australia seek to replicate this experience in two new vibrant “cafe projects” in Sydney, commencing in March.
The Role
We are looking for two highly experienced Barista's with a passion for delivering great customer service to their coffee customers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong all-round barista coffee background starting originally with at least 4 years’ experience demonstrating and understanding the art and science of coffee.
We seek enthusiastic, self-motivated, customer-focused individuals with excellent personal skills to deliver a welcoming, hospitable coffee experience. You will be highly skilled at fostering strong relationships with customers and will have a broad knowledge of coffee-based products and the operations of a successful Italian café.
You will be working autonomously and within a successful cross functional team.
From time to time, we may require you to travel for product demonstrations, sampling at expo’s, high-profile events, and operating a coffee van at key food and wine events
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver a great quality illy Italian coffee experience
- Detail illy’s range of great tasting coffee products
- Create a welcoming environment that is essential for a successful café
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A passion for coffee and coffee excellence
- Previous experience as a Barista (minimum 4 years), training baristas, problem solving technical machine issues, progressing through to understanding how a successful cafe operates
- Excellent communication skills
A competitive contract will be negotiated.
