Senior Electrical Supervisor

We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Supervisor to join our NSW Operations team on a permanent basis.
This role will see you working on various sites across the Hunter Valley Region and Newcastle, Monday to Friday based out of our Mt Thorley Branch.
You will carry out a wide range of tasks across project activities from planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities of work crews, working closely with the projects team ensuring requirements of the project are met.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Leading our electrical team on dragline and shovel shutdowns, including disconnects and reconnects of motors and instruments, cabinet cleaning and apparatus replacement, temporary lighting and electrical services and installation of machine upgrades.
• Driving quality assurance processes on shutdowns and integration with commissioning readiness reviews and activities.
• Integration with mechanical and structural disciplines to deliver works effectively by assisting in preparation of tenders, detailed planning works for interactions, daily status reporting and forecasting and effective completions and project close out.
• Coordinating electrical inspections of tooling and equipment including welding machines
• Site establishment and disestablishment activities, including planning and installing temporary power and communications.
• Assisting in delivery of electrical fixed plant projects.
• Replacement of HV switches, relays and other components in electrical cabinets.

What you will bring:

• 4 years minimum experience as a site-based supervisor.
• Mining resources experience highly regarded.
• NSW Electrical Trade and current Licence.
• Shutdown and Maintenance experience desirable.
• Experience leading a team of electrical workers ranging from Electrical tradespersons, Apprentices and electrical trades assistants.
• The drive to get hands on and lead by example.
• Strong ability to manage time to achieve tight deadlines.
• Experience in effective planning, scheduling, budgets, variations, management of personnel, resources and equipment to meet Project requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
